Adobe Photoshop Catalina

  • Nov 27, 2019 Ok so after I posted this I found the solution to my problem, which is linked in the post and support article below. Turns out I had a setting enabled from Mojave related to enabling only the Dark Mode menu bar that was causing the issue.
  • Only Photoshop 2019 (v20.x) and Photoshop v21.x can be installed on macOS 10.15 Catalina. For older versions, meaning any version before Photoshop 2019, Adobe clearly states its recommendation in the Adobe document Photoshop and macOS Catalina (10.15): Adobe does not recommend that customers using old versions of Photoshop upgrade to macOS.
  • Photoshop CS6 with apparently latest updates (13.0.6) refused to launch for me - circle with a line through it icon. So I had a poke in the package contents for Photoshop CS6.app and I was able to successfully launch it from the unix file and start doing things. Not tested extensively yet, but.

I'm running Mac OS Catalina with the latest photoshop 22.4.1. For the last month I could not figure out why ounce I closed photoshop it would not re open. Even after re installing all of adobe. I would have to restart the machine to open Photoshop. I used your advice to remove the graphics processor off of Camera Raw.

Before you upgrade to Catalina, we recommend that you uninstall your 32-bit Adobe apps. Older uninstallers are also 32-bit apps and don't work in Catalina.

If you already upgraded to Catalina, you can use the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to uninstall older versions of Creative Cloud apps.

If you've kept Acrobat DC or Creative Cloud apps up to date, they are already 64-bit compliant.

You can update your apps using the Creative Cloud desktop app. See how to update your apps to the latest versions.
