Installation scenario. AXIS Camera Station Server, installed on a dedicated computer, handles the communication with cameras both inside and outside the local (corporate) network. The cameras are monitored and controlled from two AXIS Camera Station Clients — one on the local network and one connected via the Internet. AXIS Camera Station Client. AXIS Camera Station Client is developed by Axis Communications. The most popular version of this product among our users is 2.1. The names of program executable files are AcsClient.exe, AXISCameraStationClient.exe and VideoClient.exe. The product will soon be reviewed by our informers.
When connecting to my AXIS Camera Station/Management/Device Manager Server, I get told that I am running a temporary user profile. It is not possible to connect to an AXIS Camera Station, AXIS Camera Management or AXIS Device Manager server when using a guest account. The AXIS Camera Station connects with a number of Axis network cameras or video servers and is remotely accessed from the same local network using the AXIS Camera Station Client or Web interface. This scenario could be used when the AXIS Camera Station is located in a closed environment or away from where playback, viewing and administration. AXIS Camera Station also allows the user to take full advantage of Axis’ market-leading network cameras and their capabilities, such as 360º overview recording with client-side de-warping from AXIS M3007-P and AXIS M3007-PV cameras, multi-view streaming, Axis Corridor Format, H.264 compression and advanced camera-based video motion detection.

Multi-screen support - Up to 4 monitors per graphic card or multi-4K stream support:

Please note that multi-4K stream and multiple monitors will put more load on your client and network.
Using H.265 video coding will put more load on the graphic card.
Non-video devices
Axis Camera Station Client For Mac
When non-video devices are used in AXIS Camera Station, they will still use performance of your server. Although they are not using more bandwidth than cameras, depending on the system configuration, such as Action rules they will place a load on the system and need to be verified on a case-by-case basis.

**The operating system physical disk should not be used for recordings. This will help maintain general system stability and achieve better performance, while avoiding fragmentation and bottlenecks. If the operating system and recordings need to be combined on the same physical disk, recordings should be kept in a different partition than the operating system.
