Unfortunately, the along with all the improvements, new technologies have made scripts dating from the formZ 6 era require some work before they will run in formZ 8. Software Overview
AutoDesSys Form·Z is a CAD program used to design 3D spaces and forms for many different purposes. It is commonly used for 3D modeling, architectural drafting, animation, and rendering.
Form·Z comes with a large set of tools for 2D and 3D form manipulation. 3D forms can be created with a visual interface or by formulas that you design. The visual creation tools allow you to create shapes including analytic primitives, spherical objects, metaballs and metaformz, and custom shapes. There are also layout sheets that you can use to create different views of a model and include notes and dimensions.
There are also many features provided by Form·Z that help streamline your workflow. It has an intelligent interface that determines what you are trying to accomplish and helps prevent any unwanted actions. Form·Z also simplifies your workflow by grouping related tools into workspaces, so that you can always find what you need.
Form·Z is a good modeling tool for 3D design, especially for architecture. If you are an architect that is looking for a good CAD program, Form·Z is a great option. If you are interested in creating models for games, it might not be the best solution.

Whilst this may not sound very bad it is, most operations require clicking in an input field or dialogue window. So in affect almost every operation performed in formZ is followed by a 10 second wait rendering the device useless in this application. The problem occurs even if the device is disconnected, so I can only conclude that this is a plugin issue. This is affecting formZ 6.7.3 and formZ 7 on a Mac Pro 3.1 running os X 10.6.8 earlier versions of formZ have been fine. Though in most cases formZ tech support is very good, I have tried to get this resolved with Autodessys tech support for about a year without success.
